Craft and Home Economics Report – September 2015

This months meeting was very interesting. I think everybody was eager to hear what the speaker had to say. The speaker was Tony Harris, telling us of his life as a film star. He told us of the acting he did while living in Whitstable and the day Whitstable was made famous. He kept us all wondering what would come next in the story. Singing for Breathing Fun Evening

On Saturday 26th September, 7.30pm to 10.00pm, we are holding a charity performance in Whitfield Village Hall. Whitfield Village Hall

The hall has now been booked for regular activities on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Tuesdays, weekly at 8pm  and starting on 8th September,  new dancing classes Dance Dedication Wednesdays, weekly at 6pm, fitness classes Clubbercise If you are interested in these activities just turn up! Whitfield Evening WI – May to June 2015

This was our Resolution meeting, during which we discussed the motion: “Failure to Care – Assessment of Need in Long Term Care” The WI requests the government to ensure that health needs and social needs are assessed and funded together, rather than at the present, where health needs are funded by the NHS and social needs are funded by Social services. This results in a lack of continuity and many people not receiving appropriate care.
