St Peters Church Services

Services on the first Sunday are held in the Village Hall at 10.30 a.m. Parish Communion is celebrated at 10.30 a.m. on the remaining Sundays. Harvest Festival will be held on Sunday 25th September at 10.30 a.m.  All produce donations will go to the Emmaus Community in Dover. Whitfield Evening WI – August 2016

Whitfield News Report Whitfield Evening WI August 2016 June was our Birthday meeting and what a meeting it was. The planned speaker was unable to attend, so at short notice, our programme secretary was able to book bee-keeper Mark Woollard who gave an informative and amusing talk on, not just a hobby, but his livelihood. Afternoon WI – July 2016

Another few months and again new members to welcome. All prearranged plans have worked out well. The Festive Committee provided an excellent Strawberry Tea in June. In the Crochet Competition, Janet and Wendy gained 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Well Done. In July, Janet Dean gave us a very interesting talk .We were rather expecting the talk “My Grandmother was a Spy” to be a humorous account but in fact, Janet Dean’s grandmother really was an important source of information for the forces in the war.
