Dover Flower Club News

This Summer has helped Dover Flower Club to emerge as a successful Kent club in the art of flower arranging. We started off on the May bank holiday with winning the club class at our Area Show at Detling, we then arranged flowers in celebration of the Queens 90th birthday in Dover Castle. Come July our girls won 1st prize again in the Club class and further 1st and 2nd prizes at the Kent Show Detling. Services on the first Sunday are held in the Village Hall at 10.30 a.m. Parish Communion is celebrated at 10.30 a.m. on the remaining Sundays. Harvest Festival will be held on Sunday 25th September at 10.30 a.m.  All produce donations will go to the Emmaus Community in Dover. Whitfield News Report Whitfield Evening WI August 2016 June was our Birthday meeting and what a meeting it was. The planned speaker was unable to attend, so at short notice, our programme secretary was able to book bee-keeper Mark Woollard who gave an informative and amusing talk on, not just a hobby, but his livelihood.
