..and Autumn well on its way. It is official that on September 22nd all the leaves will suddenly turn brown and fall off the trees. They gather themselves together and make their way mysteriously around Whitfield over night finally coming to rest on my drive…
Well all I can say is; I wish money did grow on trees because autumn would be the best season ever!
I hope the Summer was enjoyable for you and your families. The schools will be opening soon and life gets back to normal for the community.
Our village has seen a number of new large stores open on our door step… one
which seems to be very popular with the young folk selling take-away chicken. The pet store and another large national brand are all battling with others for your custom… It does make me wonder how the small independent shops survive, many don’t.
Sunday 13th September there is a Wedding Fayre at the Ramada so anyone planning to get married that
is the place to be… check out our new Mirror and Post Box hire service… Angela will be pleased to meet you.
Autumn is truly a beautiful time of year, perhaps some of you may send in some nice photos.
Till next time – RK
