 17/01/2024 – Whitfield Cllr’s Roger Knight and Jim Back, met with Mister for Roads Guy Opperman MP, our Dover MP Natalie Elphicke and representatives from KCC. Discussions regarding the traffic problems we face every day around the Whitfield roundabout.

Mrs Elphicke and the Minister were joined by representatives of KCC, Dover Harbour Board and Highways England to review the resilience of Dover’s roads, keeping Dover clear and the £45 million investment plans to upgrade port controls.

Natalie welcomed the progress that had been made. She also welcomed plans for the improvement of the Whitfield roundabout – which local councillors Jim Back and Roger Knight have been campaigning hard for and which they explained the need for, to the Minister.
